\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 This short video shows Native community surrounding the framework of a tipi, a sacred symbol which sets the foundation for this newly erected<\/span> “<\/span><\/span><\/span>1851 Treaty Camp.<\/a><\/span>“<\/span> Predominantly indigenous Water Protectors hold signs of disapproval in regard to the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Dakota Access Pipeline<\/a><\/span>, and also signs of advocacy for the protection of their water, such as<\/span> \u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span>Defend the Sacred,\u201d \u201c<\/span>Water is Life,\u201d \u201c<\/span>Water is Sacred- No Pipelines,<\/span>\u201d<\/span> as well as others. \u00a0The lightheartedness of the gathering can be heard in the voice of the speaker, who is cracking jokes while a <\/span><\/span><\/span>yellow helicopter<\/a>\u00a0encircles the peaceful gathering. \u00a0As the video comes to a close the speaker reassures the people that more relatives are on the way from the south to dance & pray with them, & that they will arrive <\/span>within<\/span>\u00a0the day.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
